sitka

 tonight we leave Sitka

yes, a very tranquil place

where if you can look behind her clouds

you'll find her beauty and her grace

it started with a Subway

where both a bride and groom did dine

and ended with a nature cruise

that we almost left behind

for there we did see Sitka

its otters, eagles and seals

and learned about the fauna

that we must protect with zeal

as if we were like that mother otter

or even on that bald eagle's nest

where we could really care for those

who actually love us the best

so now as we leave Sitka

it's totally out of sight

just like it was when we got there

now its memory makes my night!
