  poems for a new tomorrow

Up

no fear

It started with a phone call,

and went on with trust not fear.

It brought us to Acapulco,

where it was topped off with Crystal & Carona Beer.

Day one - we all were hazy.

Day two - the city had us beat.

Till we finally saw the cliff divers;

all while enjoying something good to eat.

It's amazing to see the difference,

that a few hours can really make.

To help you see what is actually there,

that will make you come home late.

But it wasn't just this city,

and it wasn't just this time.

What made the magic more intense,

came from three friends of mine.

Sometimes one needs to get away

to focus on their life

and return back to what's simple

instead of rehashing yesterday's strife.

Life is a lot like Acapulco

where it can be insane and stink like hell.

Or sparkle as it does at night,

when things are going well.

But it's all in what you make of things,

and it's what has brought us here.

Where we all will now start really living life

And relearn to love not fear.
