  poems for a new tomorrow

Up

i don’t care

written to “The Velocity of Love” from Suzanne Ciani’s album Pianissimo II

I don’t care… I don’t care…

I don’t care how long it takes

for there was a time when our two hearts combined

and we cared so

I don’t care… I don’t care…

I don’t care how much it hurt

for there was a time when our two souls combined

and we cared more, much  more

I don’t care, how long it takes

I don’t care the toll this caring takes

for there was a time when our two lives combined

when we cared more

I don’t care… I don’t care…

I don’t care… I don’t care…

I don’t care if I’m at heaven’s gate

I only know that it will be for you that I’ll wait

so we can care more, forever more

I don’t care, how long it takes

I don’t care, the toll this caring takes

for there was a time, that we almost left behind

and we cared so much more
