how can it be written to “Passacaglia” from White Stones album Secret Garden concept written 10 May 1997 / completed 30 October 1997
how can it be, things can come to this how can this be, something’s remiss why do we speak, now differently was it just, we’re to blind to see
could it be, I didn’t know the right direction, we should go could it be, that I once cared now I paid my dues, I did my share
a neat idea, it had some flare just one small prob, she’d not be there how could I stay, again at home when alternate plans left me alone
so what occurred, in return t’was nothing more, than than I got burned no more balance, no more faith nothing changed, except her pace
she came and went, with no regard of others feelings, just a new back yard to be so cold, it hurts to know that my two boys had to see that show
now that we’ve come, and gone around let’s cut the games, stay away from frowns communication vanished, with no more said except for hate, and a different bed
what started grand, then withered away actually blossomed, ending this way with no thank you’s, she hit the road came in a princess, left a toad
came in a princess but left a toad
